Completed as Port Tauranga for Captain A F Watchlin, Auckland. Employed on the timber trade. When she was built, she had the longest hold.

Stranded in the Clarence River, NSW.

Acquired by the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand. Her named was intended to be Kama.
1948
Renamed Kopua.

Re-measured. Now 1,528 grt, 744 nrt.
10.1950
Re-measured. Now 1,529 grt, 744 nrt.
04.1954
Re-measured. Now 745 nrt.
11.1959
Withdrawn from service.
1960
Sold to Hethking Steamships Pty Ltd, Sydney (Hetherington, Kingsbury Pty Ltd, Sydney, managers) and renamed Cobargo.
1972
Laid up at Sydney.

Sold to United Steamships Ltd, Apia, and renamed Salmon Bay. She was converted to carry sugar and molasses.
1974
Sold to Universal Dallas Corp Inc, Panama (Log & Timber Products Ltd, Singapore, managers) and renamed Universal Dallas.

Arrived at Pontianak for demolition the following year.
