- Launched as War Bat.
- 09.10.1919
- Completed as Garada for the British India Steam Navigation Company Ltd.
- 20.07.1927
- Suffered an outbreak of fire in No.4 hold and had to put into Singapore whilst en route from Calcutta to Australia. She had to discharge part of her cargo before she could proceed.
- 22.03.1931
- Grounded on Ethiopia Shoal off the north-east coast of Ceylon and, after unsuccessful attempts by the Malda to free her had torn out the Garada’s bollards, she was eventually refloated on the 26th with little damage.
- 20.07.1936
- Caught fire and completely burnt out at Cuddalore. The flames raged for five days and she had to be beached and abandoned on the 25th.
- 10.1936
- Sold to Japanese breakers for Rs 50,000.
- 07.1937
- Refloated and towed out of harbour on her final voyage.
- 29.08.1937
- Ran aground in Sabang Harbour and was not refloated until the 29th January 1938.

- Arrived at Japan for breaking up.
