Launched by Mrs Cynthia Baillie, wife of P&O Australia’s Deputy Managing Director, Mr B W Baillie.
26.02.1974
Delivered as Lady Cynthia for P&O Australia Ltd (Australian Offshore Services, managers).
1976
While on charter to shift an oil rig, she rescued 22 Vietnamese refugees, including nine children and a 12-month-old baby from a sinking fishing vessel in the South China Sea. They were allowed entry into Australia.
04.1982
Put on the slipway at Tropical Reef Enterprises, Cairns, for repairs following damage sustained en route from Darwin. Her cradle was derailed and Lady Cynthia was left with her stern submerged.
07.06.1982
Refloated and towed to Brisbane for repairs.
29.06.1984
Sold to Kittiwake Private Ltd, Singapore, and renamed Magnificent.
1984
Resold to Lombardo Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Singapore, and renamed Magnificent Creek.
1988
Owners restyled as Lombardo Marine Pty Ltd, Australia.
1993
Renamed Miclyn Bay.
2002
Renamed Dawari 5.
2003
Renamed Al Mojil 39.
