Completed as Antwerpen for the Oldenburg-Portugiesische Dampfschiffs Rhederei, Hamburg.

Turned over to Great Britain and put under the direction of The Shipping Controller (W A Young & Co, London, managers).

Purchased by the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand and renamed Kairanga.

Renamed Wingatui when she arrived in Australia.

Collided with the Westmoreland at Bluff.

Stranded off Napier.

Registry transferred to Wellington, NZ.

Suffered damaged machinery off Meeraki.

Suffered damaged machinery near Timaru.

Collided with the Port Wellington while at Auckland.

Withdrawn from service and laid up at Wellington.

Sold to Mrs E J Chandris, Piraeus and renamed Thoula Chandris. On charter to the Ministry of Food, she broke down en route from Wellington to South Australia. She was found with a 15° list by an RAAF Dakota. Papanui took her in tow to Nelson where tugs took over and docked her at Wellington.

Grounded on Arnemuiden Shoal, approaching Jakarta. She was floated off. She was subsequently sold to Mollers Ltd, Hong Kong, and broken up.
