Completed as Kaitoa for the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand.
1960
One of the first of the company’s ships to change from the black hulls and orange-buff upperworks to the traditional bronze green hull and white deck and bridgework.
31.12.1971
The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company sold their interest in the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand to Tasman Union Ltd, therefore the vessel was no longer in Group service.
1972
Sold to Lineng Enterprises SA, Panama (Kie Hock Shipping 1971 (Pte) Ltd, Singapore, managers) and renamed Katoa.
1976
Sold to Syarikat Perkapalan Meladju Sdn Bhd, Kota Kinabalu, without a change of name.
1978
Sols to Independent Airlines Sdn Bhd, Port Kelang, without a change of name.
1979
Sold to Kie Gwan Shipping M Sdn Bhd, Port Kelang, and renamed Hati Baik.
1990
Transferred to Perkapalan Senang Sdn Bhd, Port Kelang (Kie Gwan Shipping M Sdn Bhd, managers) and ownership registered to Shing Li Shipping Co SA, Panama.
22.07.1992
Sold to Natsteel Shipbreakers Pte Ltd, Singapore, and demolished at Jurong.
