- 1922
- Her final end is clouded in obscurity. It was reported to British India’s Directors that on 22nd August she was sold for Rs 12,000 to be broken up. Lloyd’s records note that she was broken up at Bombay in 1922. However, a story, with circumstantial detail, says that she grounded heavily on the Dhundra River Bar, after ramming the marker buoy whose light had failed. The story lacks the essential element of corroboration but it might well have been the reason leading to her demolition.
