Ran trials and delivered as Chakrata for the British India Steam Navigation Company Ltd.

Ran aground in Hobson’s Bay, arriving from India and had to discharge fuel and water before being refloated with the aid of the tug Howard Smith after twelve hours.
01.10.1971
Management transferred to P&O General Cargo Division.
19.04.1973
Registered in the ownership of The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company.
02.08.1973
Sold to Yun Shen Steel & Ironworks Co Ltd, Taiwan, for demolition at Kaohsiung.
