Launched.

Completed as Koromiko. She was the only turret hulled ship owned by the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand. The new style ship was a novelty and Union Steam Ship Company acquired it to gain experience. The turret deck was meant to keep the tonnage low while providing a good carrying capacity.

Struck the wharf at Wellington.
24.02.1917
Stranded while at Manukau.
01.07.1917
Takeover of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand by The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company agreed.
20.07.1917
Suffered some damaged machinery while in the South Pacific.
01.04.1927
Taken out of service and laid up at Wellington.
1928
Sold to Shun Hong Steamship Co Ltd, Hong Kong.
1936
Acquired by Yu Chung Steamship Co Ltd, Shanghai and renamed Yu Ping.
12.1941
Sunk at Hankow, Yangtze River, and became constructive total loss.
