- Completed as Koromiko. She was the only turret hulled ship owned by the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand. The new style ship was a novelty and Union Steam Ship Company acquired it to gain experience. The turret deck was meant to keep the tonnage low while providing a good carrying capacity.

- Stranded while at Manukau.

- Takeover of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand by The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company agreed.

- Suffered some damaged machinery while in the South Pacific.

- Taken out of service and laid up at Wellington.

- Sold to Shun Hong Steamship Co Ltd, Hong Kong.

- Acquired by Yu Chung Steamship Co Ltd, Shanghai and renamed Yu Ping.

- Sunk at Hankow, Yangtze River, and became constructive total loss.
