Damaged by air attack while in Convoy BN 5 (13°57’N-42°53’E) bound Avonmouth and Table Bay to Aden, Alexandria, Haifa and Port Said with government stores and general cargo. One crew member killed. She was beached at Aden.

Torpedoed by the Japanese submarine I165 480km (300 miles) south west of Cape Comorin (07°47’N-73°31’E) bound Rangoon and Colombo to Durban and the West Indies carrying 1,300 tons of tea and rubber for Durban and 8,700 tons of general cargo. All 68 crew and two passengers got away in three boats and were saved by Chios on 23rd February and landed at Durban.
