- Broke her shaft while she was north of Westport.

- Fire broke out on board while at Wellington.

- Transferred to the Auckland/Gisbourne service.

- Takeover of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand by The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company agreed.
