Delivered as Chanda to the British India Steam Navigation Company Ltd.

Requisitioned immediately for the Liner Division.

Fitted with 1,245 cubic metres (44,000 cubic feet) of refrigerated cargo space at Melbourne, Australia.

Involved in a collision with Cygnet III off Tilbury, having loaded in the Tees for Brisbane, and berthed in the Royal Albert Dock for repair.
17.09.1969
Sold to Jebshun Shipping Company Ltd, Hong Kong, and renamed Precious Pearl.
06.1971
Sold to Taiwan shipbreakers for demolition at Kaohsiung, but the scrappers decided to sell her on to the Development Navigation Company Ltd, Singapore.
15.10.1971
Caught fire on her way from Kaohsiung to Saigon and foundered in tow two days later 370km (230 miles) south of Hong Kong (22°17’N-118°07’E)
