- Delivered as Aronda for British India Steam Navigation Company Ltd at a cost of £116,668. She was the last of the A-class vessels to be launched with her sisters Abhona, Arankola and Angora.

- Takeover of British India Steam Navigation Company by The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company agreed.

- Requisitioned for an Indian Expeditionary Force transport and sailed from Bombay and Karachi to Suez and Marseilles.

- Released from service. Used to repatriate invalids from Egypt to the UK.

- Sold for Rs 91,000 to Esmailjee Abdulhusein for scrapping at Bombay.
