Requisitioned by the Admiralty for service as an ocean boarding vessel. Fitted with two 6-inch guns.

Returned to Strick Line.

Torpedoed and sunk about 120km (200 miles) ENE of Tobago by the German submarine U332. She was on a voyage from Basrah and Table Bay to Trinidad and Philadelphia with 1,319 tons of general cargo. Of her crew of 46 and 10 gunners, 11 crew and 5 gunners were lost.
