- Delivered as Seaway Queen for the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand. She was the first Union ship fitted with fin stabilisers and twin bow lateral thrusters as well as being the first stern door roll-on, roll-off ship in the fleet designed for the company’s own Seafreighter cargo pallet and wheeled traffic.

- P&O sold their interest in he Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand to Tasman Union Ltd, therefore the vessel was no longer in P&O Group service.
