Delivered as Seaway Queen for the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand. She was the first Union ship fitted with fin stabilisers and twin bow lateral thrusters as well as being the first stern door roll-on, roll-off ship in the fleet designed for the company’s own Seafreighter cargo pallet and wheeled traffic.

P&O sold their interest in he Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand to Tasman Union Ltd, therefore the vessel was no longer in P&O Group service.

Sold to Trucape Pty Ltd, Melbourne (Associated Steamships Pty Ltd, Melbourne, managers).
1978
Transferred to Bulkships Container Pty Ltd, Melbourne (Associated Steamships Pty Ltd, Melbourne, managers).
22.02.1979
Laid up at Singapore.
1979
Sold to Seaways Shipping & Trading SA, Piraeus.
1980
Sold to Perkapalan Lautan Biru Sdn Bhd, Kota Kinabalu, and renamed Lautan Rani.
21.04.1985
Sold to Chinese shipbreakers and towed from Kota Kinabalu and arrived at Zhangjiang for demolition.
