- Launched.
- 16.09.1929
- Ran trials and completed as Busiris for J & P Hutchison Ltd (later Moss Hutchison Line) at a cost of £28,700. She was employed on the Bordeaux/Bristol or Liverpool brandy trade.

- Her owners and majority shareholders, James Moss & Co (Moss Line) Ltd were merged to form Moss Hutchison Line.
- 17.10.1935
- Moss Hutchison Line became a P&O subsidiary company.
- 26.10.1940
- Requisitioned for war service.
- 10.04.1941
- Attacked by a German aircraft off the Runnelstone, Mounts Bay, whilst on passage from Maryport to Plymouth. A 550lb bomb landed on deck but failed to explode. It was removed by a disposal squad at Falmouth.
- 03.05.1941
- Saved from severe damage during the explosion of the SS Malakand of Liverpool by being warped to the far end of Huskisson Dock. Chief Officer Mackenzie of the Busiris was awarded the OBE.

- Returned to her owners.

- Sold to the Kyle Sg Co Ltd, Liverpool (Monroe Bros Ltd, managers) and renamed Kyleglen.

- Arrived at Hammond Land Foundry, Dublin, for breaking up.
