- Management and operation transferred to P&O General Cargo Division.

- Left a 4,000 yard slick in Canadian waters when bound for Quebec to New York, when she discharged oil with her bilge water. Her master was fined £250 (against a maximum possible £50,000).

- Ownership transferred to The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company.

- Sold to Chou’s Iron & Steel Co Ltd, Taiwan, for demolition and delivered the same day at Hualien.
