Brodie McGhie Willcox (1786-1862) was one of the founding fathers of P&O, together with Arthur Anderson whom he employed as a clerk in 1815. In addition to his distinguished career in the shipping business, Willcox served as a Member of Parliament for Southampton from 1847-1862.
