Grounded 37km (23 miles) north of Jeddah when on passage from Houston to Hodeidah with general cargo. She was quickly refloated but promptly beached on Jahan Reef on account of severe bottom damage. Much of the cargo was subsequently discharged, but attempts to refloat the vessel were unsuccessful and she was abandoned as a total loss.
