- Torpedoed by U181 off Lourenco Marques (25°15’S-33°30’E) en route from Durban and Beira and Calcutta carrying general cargo. She was originally in convoy DN37 which had dispersed. Of her 78 crew, five gunners and 124 passengers on board, 25 crew and 50 passengers were lost.
