A waterline 1:96 scale model made in 1960s by Bassett-Lowke Ltd, Northampton.
As a travel agent's model it would have been displayed in a front window or booking office.
It is hollow and illuminated (now with museum standards LED fibre optics).
It is made in wood and plastic with metal and organic material fittings. 8 lifeboats on davits on each side.
The hull is painted and finished in the Orient Line buff yellow and green below the waterline.
The model was originally displayed on a blue-green painted sea base in a glazed show case.
The model was loaned to the Indefatigable School, in Wales by Orient Lines in the 1960's and was returned to the collection in 1995.
