Served as a military store ship.

Broke a piston in the main engine shortly after leaving Auckland for Havana and New York. Returned for repairs the same day and sailed again on the 10th.

Grounded on a sandbank in Otago harbour, bound Dunedin to Port Chalmers. She was refloated after 5 hours.
1950
Refrigerated space now 1,142 cubic metres (40,347 cubic feet).
1952
Accommodation rebuilt by Grayson, Rollo & Clover Docks Ltd, Liverpool, raising the bridge one deck higher. Re-measured. Now 6,067 grt, 3,454 nrt.

Collided with a barge at New York.

Sold for £120,000 to the Avenue Shipping Company Ltd, which was also a P&O subsidiary company therefore the ship did not leave Group service.

Renamed Tyrone after originally been announced as Wicklow.

Sold to The Shin Wing Hong, Hong Kong for breaking up.
16.10.1963
Demolition commenced.
