- Ordered. Originally designed as fourth and last of a class of freight vehicle ferries built for the Dover/Zeebrugge service it was decided to enlarge her for the Dover/Calais passenger route.

- Keel laid.
- 16.05.1992
- Launched at Bremerhaven by Mrs Cherry Hambro, wife of non-executive Director of P&O Mr Charles Hambro.
- 30.03.1993
- Completed for P&O European Ferries (Dover) Ltd. At the time she was the largest ferry ever to operate out of Dover.
- 05.1993
- Introduced controversial staffing scheme with a rating replacing an officer in charge of the car deck loading.
- 05.1993
- Rescued two Belgian fishermen from their lifeboat after their fishing boat sank.
- 20.06.1994
- Passenger capacity increased to 1,420.
- 03.1998
- Deadweight now 5,812 tonnes.

- Ownership transferred from P&O European Ferries (Dover) Ltd to Sutten Ltd (P&O interest 60%); managers now P&O Stena Line Ship Management Ltd (P&O interest also 60%).

- Renamed P&OSL Burgundy.

- The P&O Stena alliance ended. Transferred to P&O Ferries Ltd and renamed PO Burgundy.

- Reverted to Pride of Burgundy.

- Transferred to P&O Ferries Ltd when DP World bought The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, therefore the vessel was no longer in P&O service.
