Ownership transferred to The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, however management and operators remained The Hain Steamship Company.

Arrived at Piraeus with engine trouble sustained whilst on a voyage from Cebu to Rotterdam. Fire broke out in her cargo and

Fire broke out in her cargo. As a result she was beached in Ambelaki Bay in order that the fire fighting could take place. The fire was not extinguished until the 8th. She was declared a constructive total loss.
