- Launched. She was launched for F C Strick & Co as Shahristan but she was taken over by British India and renamed Orna.
- 06.11.1913
- Delivered as Orna for British India Steam Navigation Company at a cost of £81,400.
- 24.06.1914
- Takeover of British India Steam Navigation Company by The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company agreed.
- 1917
- Came under the Liner Requisition Scheme.
- 17.10.1917
- She was attacked by a torpedo and gunfire from U22 in the mid-Atlantic. Orna was not hit and was able to escape.
- 13.01.1918
- Ran aground off Alexandria but was refloated unharmed.
- 16.08.1926
- Grounded in the Hooghly when inward bound from Semarang to Calcutta with a cargo of sugar.
- 19.08.1926
- She was refloated following her grounding and only sustained a few buckled plates.

- Sold for £6,650 to shipbreakers.
